From September 2013, The Couch was offering free Salsa classes every Thursday Night.

Couch volunteer, Davi Gomes, wrote up his experiences at the lessons:
The Salsa Nights at The Couch was an amazing activity to end the week. Every Thursday after the Trivia Night with Kate, our instructor Laura taught us one, or more, new steps.
In the beginning, I confess, I found it tricky to follow Laura. However, each week, all of us got better and better! Before the classes, I didn't realise that dance could be so interesting, and learning how to dance better is now one of my goals. At the moment, I really want to keep practicing - even when I return to my country, Brazil.
Although Davi said he found it tricky at first, by the end of just a couple of lessons he was already looking very professional; unlike yours truly.

Unfortunately, Laura isn't able to return to teach again in 2014. We're all hoping someone as enthusiastic about dance as her can come again!
